The C60 Series are geodesic pendant lights created by artist and inventor, Jason Krugman. Inspired by carbon crystals and microscopic sea creatures, these shapes at first appear to be simple spheres defined by points and curves. However in their simplicity lies a deeper connection to a natural order of form.
A sphere may contain a microcosm of life or an entire galaxy at an entirely different scale. Geodesic spheres are ubiquitous in nature in both living and non-living forms. More specifically, as truncated icosahedra, these forms exhibit a remarkable twisting symmetry through opposing pentagons.
18 pendants, 3-6ft in diameter. Powdercoated aluminum frame, all weather temperature controlled LED sources. Double diffused LED sources with gaskets. Indoor fixtures are warm white 3000K, outdoor variants are RGBW color changing via DMX.
