Williamsburg Overlay is a framed drawing, 34" x 26", augmented by a digital video loop projected onto its surface
The piece combines digital video and analog drawing techniques, blending a static image with a running projection. This series departs from the standard temporality of the finished drawing. In its tradition form, a drawing represents only a moment in time from a particular perspective, a record of many hours of observation. This work connects two difference modes of time and reminds us of our own subjective, linear awareness.
